Over the next three years, our consortium consisting of Schmiede.one, SeedForward GmbH and the FIR at RWTH Aachen University as well as partners such as Nature Robots will work on bringing mixed cultivation closer to an industrial use case as a more sustainable form of agriculture. April gefreut. Tobias Schröer und Sebastian Junglas vom FIR haben aktuelle Aktivitäten und Schwerpunkte bei einer Führung durch die FIR-Innovationslabore und die DFA Demonstrationsfabrik Aachen vorgestellt. Im Fokus stand an dem Tag, wie die Transformation des deutschen Mittelstands zu einer wertsteigernden Kreislaufwirtschaft möglich ist und welche besondere Rolle Digitalisierung und der Umgang mit Betriebsdaten dabei einnehmen. Tobias Schröer and Sebastian Junglas from FIR presented our current activities and focal points during a guided tour of our innovation labs and the DFA Demonstration Factory Aachen, focusing on how the transformation of German SMEs to a value-enhancing circular economy is possible and what special role digitalisation and the handling of operational data plays in this. Using the example of a washing machine and the research project 'DiCES' (dices.fir.de/en), we demonstrated the challenges that need to be overcome.
